We each chose the name of one of the disciples and made a headband with the name on it. Then we acted out the the story. We also made a mural of Jesus calling us to follow Him. We said, "Yes," just like the disciples!

Followers of Jesus
In Room 2 we have been learning about what happened when Jesus chose his twelve disciples. He asked them to follow him and they said, "Yes."

Counting Backwards in Room 2
In Room 2 we have been learning to count backwards. We have found some great youtube clips to help us. We made kites and wrote the numbers counting backwards on the kite tails. Some of us wrote back from 20 to 11. Others wrote numbers back from 10 to 1. Liam Bowles wrote numbers back from 100 to 91. We had a lot of fun making our kites.

Saint Patricks Day 17th March
Today is St Patricks Day, 17th March 2014.
In Room 2 we watched a power point to find out about Saint Patrick. We learnt that St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. He taught the Irish people about Jesus. We found out that the symbols of St Patricks Day are ...
* shamrocks
* snakes
* leprechauns
On Saint Patrick's Day Irish people around the world celebrate by...
* dressing in green
* eating green food
* dancing to Irish music
* celebrating St Patrick's life
In Room 2 we made shamrock hats, ate green marshmallow and green snakes, and did Irish jigs. It was a lot of fun!
Happy Saint Patrick's Day Everyone!
