Tick Tock - We are learning about Clocks

This week Ms Scanlan introduced us to an analogue clock and how to show o'clock time.  It was challenging and fun learning where to place the numbers on a clock face.  We took turns at turning the hour hand but we know the minute hand has to be pointing to the number 12 to make it an o'clock time.

Our Maths Learning

We have been doing a lot of fun learning with our numbers in Maths.  We have been fishing for numbers, counting and threading beads, looping hoops and sequencing numbers with our toy cars.  
Ms Scanlan has been teaching us about time and how we order our daily events. We have been learning our days of the week in English and Maori through song and artwork.

Welcome back to another term and Welcome to our new children and their families!

Dino World

Over the holidays we were busy gathering Dinosaur resources for our Inquiry topic this term.
The children have shown a lot of enthusiasm towards this topic and are enjoying our new dinosaur play area.  


We have had great discussions around Dinosaurs and the children have shared what they already know about them.  The children have had the opportunity to come up with their own Dinosaur questions.  These questions will help us to explore and develop new learning about Dinosaurs this
term.
