STATISTICS

We spent last week learning our Maths strand - Statistics.  We enjoyed using our ME boards to investigate, collect data and present in pictographs.  We used Statistical language to interpret our graphs and findings.

Ash Wednesday

Last Wednesday was Ash Wednesday. We attended church as a whole school. We received ashes and now lent has begun.  We discussed ways we can prepare for Easter by making a positive change.  

Shrove Tuesday

It was Shrove Tuesday today so the children enjoyed eating pancakes.  We discussed how this was an old tradition.  People would like to use up the things in the cupboard like eggs and sugar before fasting began in Lent.  Our season of Lent begins tomorrow on Ash Wednesday.  

Happy Valentines Day!

Mrs Fala decided to show the children a bit of love on Valentines Day by bringing in some heart shaped cookies.  The children then decorated their own and had a nice treat for morning tea. Valentines day is a good reminder to show people a bit of love.  Hopefully we remember to do this everyday!
